Project: COP28 UAE - United Nations Climate Change Conference

Role: Assistant Head of Audio

Client: Encore Dubai

The Challenge: To deliver absolutely reliable, crystal-clear audio across 12 simultaneous venues for a high-stakes global summit, managing intense RF density and complex networking under immense pressure.

The Solution: I was entrusted with leading the audio execution for this critical event. My responsibilities included:

  • End-to-End Management: Oversaw the entire audio lifecycle for all 12 venues, from initial setup and system calibration to live operations.

  • Large-Scale RF Management: Coordinated and managed a massive inventory of over 120 channels of wireless frequencies using Shure Wireless Workbench, ensuring zero interference for speakers and world leaders.

  • Networked Audio Architecture: Configured and managed the Dante audio network, ensuring robust and flexible audio distribution between all systems.

  • Team Leadership: Managed technician rosters and led the on-site team to ensure seamless 24/7 coverage and rapid response across the conference site.

  • Back-Stage Operations: Handled all back-of-house audio, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for presenters and talent.

The event was executed without a single audio failure, supporting the crucial conversations on a global stage.
